From Health Sciences to Sustainable Living
Chung Jen Junior College of Nursing, Health Science and Management
I completed professional nursing education with a focus on Advanced Clinical Nursing and Community Health Nursing. This training provided a strong foundation in patient care, health sciences, and the importance of quality and safety.
Chang Gung University of Science and Technology (CGUST)
I continued my education in nursing, expanding my knowledge of clinical practice, chemistry, and healthy living. After graduation, I earned my Registered Professional Nurse License, further strengthening my commitment to evidence-based care.
1997-1999
Childhood Cancer Research
(while attending university)
While continuing my nursing studies at Chang Gung University, I was selected to participate in childhood cancer research alongside two professors. At the time, I was one of only four individuals selected for this cancer research work nationwide, and the youngest member while still completing my university education. The experience strengthened my appreciation for scientific research, careful observation, attention to detail, and evidence-based thinking—principles that continue to influence my work today.
1999-2001
Pediatric Oncology & Hematology, Registered Professional Nurse
After completing my nursing education, I worked as a Registered Professional Nurse in pediatric oncology and hematology. This experience strengthened my appreciation for compassionate care, attention to detail, and the importance of quality and safety—values that have continued to influence me throughout my life and work.
Products with a Purpose
I have always been passionate about creating thoughtful, high-quality products while finding practical ways to reduce unnecessary waste. My background in nursing, health sciences, and chemistry has influenced the way I approach product development, with careful attention to ingredients, quality, and how the products we use every day affect both people and the environment.
I also enjoy growing and working with herbs, using plants I cultivate myself or ingredients I responsibly source whenever possible. After moving to the United States, that interest in natural ingredients and formulation eventually led me to begin making handmade soaps, solid shampoo and conditioner bars, and other personal care products. What started as a creative project gradually became Green Living Soap.
Although my career path eventually shifted from health sciences to entrepreneurship, one idea has remained important to me: creating and selecting products with purpose. Today, that philosophy extends beyond handmade personal care to durable grooming tools, eco-friendly cosmetic packaging, household essentials, and other practical alternatives designed to help reduce everyday waste.
Giving Bank to Our Planet
Those early years taught me independence, perseverance, and the value of continuing to learn even when the path isn't easy—qualities that have stayed with me throughout my life and eventually helped me build Green Living Soap.
My commitment to sustainability extends beyond Green Living Soap. I have also joined an international volunteer program supporting sea turtle conservation, an experience that reflects something I care deeply about—the impact plastic waste can have on our oceans and wildlife.
Travel and learning from different cultures continue to inspire me as well, bringing new ideas and perspectives to the way I think about products, materials, and sustainable living.
Today, Green Living Soap reflects many of the things I value most: quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, sustainability, and products made to last.
